Pre‑contractual information
Pre‑contractual information
This page describes pre‑contractual information required under the Bulgarian Insurance Code (Arts. 324–327, 341, 342). General information is provided here; contract‑specific information is provided at a distance (e.g., by email).
Information about the insurer (Art. 324)
Insurers provide pre‑contractual information before conclusion of the contract. We provide this information in a timely manner for each insurer from whom you request an offer.
Information about xArt Consult (Art. 325)
• Company details (name, address) and intermediary type (insurance broker), registration in the public register.
• We do not hold shares/voting rights in an insurer; insurers do not hold shares in xArt Consult.
• Complaints: we accept and review complaints; if you remain dissatisfied you may also contact the insurer and/or the Financial Supervision Commission; out‑of‑court dispute resolution may be available.
• Whom we represent: we represent you before insurers in connection with the tasks you assign and your insurance contracts.
Advice and sales standards (Art. 325a)
Before concluding a contract, we ask questions to identify your requirements and needs; we provide objective product information; we document communication and information at the time of conclusion.
Our advice and recommendations are based on a fair and personal analysis of a sufficiently large number of offers on the market.
General and additional information (Arts. 326–327)
We provide information on the applicable law, and for non‑life insurance products—additional parameters (term, payments, termination, exclusions, etc.) provided at a distance and/or via a standardised Insurance Product Information Document.
Exceptions
In certain cases (e.g., large risks) the law allows certain information not to be provided.
